SEVEN YEARS FROM HERE (2005)
Based
on the accidental release of thosands of raw images from a NASA/ESA
space probe, the first panoramic picture of the surface of Titan, one
of Saturn’s moons, was produced by an artist.
SPACE FROM SPACE (2008)
An
astronaut assisted in the depiction of the stars as seen from space,
delivering a linguistic as well as a graphical aide to calibrating sky

GALILEO'S MISSING ARGUMENT (2010)
Following Galileo’s conviction in 1633, the protagonists of his Dialogue Concerning the Two Chief World Systems gathered to discuss a theory of how Galileo Galilei could have evaded the guilty verdict.
THE EARTH TURNS WITHOUT ME (2010)
The
rotation of the Earth can be canceled out by traveling westward at 1158
km/h.
We did so, and while watching the Earth turn, we generated an image
which graphically depicts the fact that we were standing still relative
to the Sun.
TOP OF THE WORLD (2005)
Earth's extreme points re-defined, as if seen from beyond. Travels are
undertaken to reach these points. Some of the hypotesis' are proven, while others remain documented, open for verification.

ANTICHTHON (2009)

Counter-Earth Antichthon exists or not. We assume it does, and depict
it based on current scientific knowledge.
GLOBUS CASSUS (2004)
A
thought experiment: Earth's antipode built using the whole Earth.
Humanity would live on the inside of this gigantic structure. No
heavens for the gods, and maybe paradise for man.
433 Eros (2008)
An
asteroid is modeled as a tool for designing nature on Earth. Special
attention was paid to the manufacturing process of the model, which
featured a scaled-down and abstract imitation of the forming process of
an asteroid.
NORTH OF EVEREST (2006)
On
a KLM flight from Hong Kong to Amsterdam, I wanted to photograph Mount
Everest when we were passing exactly north of it. When I needed to know
the GPS coordinates, the pilots radioed to their home base in order to
obtain that information.
A PIECE OF EARTH MOVED TO THE SKY (2001)
A
libray suspended in the sky, in balance with the Earth and its
rotation. Books are translated into genetic code and are being
retrieved from the plants in the library's gardens.
