What is the core of a human?  –  In a way it's the aerated blood contained in left cardiac ventricle, ready to be pumped into the body upon the next heartbeat.

The artist's blood is mixed with plaster to produce the an object that has the shape of his left ventricle flipped insided out. The innermost.

Extraction of 700ml artist's blood. Citric acid in receptacle bag prevents coagolation.

Transfer to Erlenmeyer flask.

Gypsum powder added. Calcium from gypsum restarts coagolation.

37°C.

Casting into mould.

Sealing.
